The new Central Floresta Phuket is definitely worth a visit!
Thailand has reputation for shopping and Phuket’s shopping scene especially thrives. There are so many new malls, the greatest of all however is certainly the new Central Floresta. You can spend a day there easily, ideally a rainy day. Browse through the shops, enjoy a nice lunch in the floating market style food court, have a massage in one of many Spas, see the gigantic Underwater World, you can even book an exclusive dinner inside the aquarium.
From the original opening Press Release:
This project highlights our excellence on a global scale in three aspects: a ‘World-Class Project’ – it is a world-class mega project and Central Pattana’s luxury flagship store, a fulfilling shopping experience making Phuket the perfect ‘Beach Lifestyle Destination’ comparable to the French Riviera or Miami and Hawaii in the USA; ‘World-Class Experience’ – creating a world-class experience that elevates Phuket to one of the ‘Global Luxury Destinations’, meeting the ‘Luxury & Leisure Lifestyle’ travel trend of people from around the world, with a selection of global brands and launching international events throughout the year under the concept of ‘The World Comes to Play’; and ‘World-Class Attractions’ – the new destination for tourists from all over the world with the ‘World’s First Ever’ attractions. Visiting Central Phuket will fulfil all types of lifestyles: eat, shop and have fun throughout the day,’ she added.
Walk over the bridge to access the “old” Central Festival, now called “New Central Festival”, as it has been completely renovated as well.
The “old” Central Festival was completely renovated and it reopened with a modernized concept. Just a short walk over the bridge between the huge Central Floresta and Central Festival.
This Mall is still very popular with many Thais, as not everyone can afford the luxury brands and prices are more down to earth here.
Jungceylon offers plenty of choices, bars, restaurants, shopping, spas and shows.
Jungceylon – The International Shopping & Leisure Destination in Patong, Phuket
Jungceylon is the name that was used for Phuket Island over 100 years ago. The island was known for its wealth from international trade and its wealth of natural beauty. Now the name “Jungceylon” is used as the name of the largest and most modern shopping center in the southern part of Thailand, covering an area of 200,000 square meters in the center of Patong Beach with parking space for 100 coaches and 2,000 cars.
Jungceylon is ready to welcome visitors from every corner of the globe, offering a fantastic experience of unlimited fun shopping and leisure in style.
Just if Jungceylon wouldn’t be large enough, there is a new Central Mall right opposite!
Chillva Market – One of Phuket’s coolest Indy Markets!
The uniquely designed market, basically build from old shipping containers is hugely popular amongst Thai teenies and all Thais. Tourists don’t find it that easily but it is original, colorful and interesting to visit. The alcohol free market is open even during the week, offering very unique Thai eateries, shops with local products and live music. It is usually crowded and as it is not very big, it is not for the claustrophobic!
